ALS Identify is pleased to announce that Co. Meath-based Autoprint Labelling Systems has joined the business, strengthening our portfolio of customised labelling, print and apply, Auto-ID, product handling, conveyor, and automation solutions for industrial customers across Ireland.

The merger marks another important step in the continued growth of ALS Identify, following the acquisition of Metal Masters, a specialist in conveyor system design and manufacture, in December 2023.

Bringing together two experienced Irish teams

Established in 1988, Autoprint Labelling Systems has built a strong reputation for supplying reliable, user-friendly, and cost-effective labelling and printing solutions to customers across Ireland.

By bringing Autoprint into ALS Identify, we are combining two experienced Irish teams with shared strengths in technical knowledge, practical problem-solving, and responsive aftersales support.

Customers will benefit from broader in-house expertise across labelling, print and apply systems, product identification, product handling, conveyors, vision systems, scanning, and automation, all supported from ALS Identify’s expanded Dublin headquarters.

Strengthening support for Irish industry

The integration will further strengthen ALS Identify’s ability to support customers across a wide range of sectors, including pharma and medical devices, food and drink, agri, personal care, cosmetics, healthcare, and manufacturing.

For Autoprint customers, it is business as usual. Existing customers will continue to be supported, with access to the wider ALS Identify team, product range, and aftersales service.

For ALS Identify customers, the merger adds further expertise and expands the range of labelling and automation solutions available through the business.

A shared commitment to customers

Commenting on the announcement, Pat Phibbs, Owner and Managing Director of ALS Identify, said:

“We are pleased to welcome the Autoprint Labelling Systems team into our business. This merger fits with our growth strategy of adding complementary products, services, and technical expertise to the group’s offering.

“Autoprint Labelling Systems is an Irish-owned business with an excellent reputation in the industry. Like ALS Identify, they have built their business around reliable products, specialist knowledge, and strong aftersales service.

“By combining our teams and expertise, we are strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality labelling, identification, and automation systems to customers across a wide range of industries. This is a positive step for our customers, our team, and the continued growth of ALS Identify.”

John Ayton and Michael Murray, Co-Owners of Autoprint Labelling Systems, added:

“We have been providing customised label printing solutions in Ireland since 1988. As an Irish-owned business, we take great pride in our team’s specialist knowledge, expertise, and dedication to customers.

“We are pleased to join ALS Identify, who share our commitment to detail, customer service, and quality in the labelling systems sector. Together, our teams will continue to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.”

Continued investment and expansion

The merger follows a period of continued investment and expansion for ALS Identify.

The company recently moved to larger premises at Unit 6, Plato Business Park, Damastown, Mulhuddart, Dublin. The 12,000 sq ft facility includes a modern workshop, warehouse, and office space.

The new premises has more than tripled ALS Identify’s previous workshop and office capacity, allowing the business to develop larger and more complex labelling, identification, and conveyor systems. The additional space also supports further research and development, along with continued investment in in-house expertise through new appointments and internal promotions.

What happens next?

The transition process is already underway, with both teams working together to ensure a smooth experience for customers.

Autoprint Labelling Systems will become part of ALS Identify over time, with associated services operating from ALS Identify’s headquarters in Damastown, Dublin.

Customers do not need to take any action at this stage. Existing customers will continue to be supported, with the added benefit of access to the wider ALS Identify team, product range, and aftersales service.
