Field Service Engineer
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance on printers, labellers, and complete systems, including conveyors and product handling equipment
- Provide timely and effective breakdown and repair services
- Manage parts inventory, ensuring accurate accounting and efficient stock levels
- Utilize maintenance software to generate detailed and accurate job reports
- Install new machinery and provide comprehensive training to customers on its operation and maintenance
- Install, configure, and provide training on label design and control software
- Proven ability to problem solve within what can be sometimes pressure situation
- Good communication skills with a personable manner and a positive mental disposition
- Ability to be able to work unsupervised and implement lateral thought process when required
- Willingness to travel within the 32 counties (overnight stays may be required, but not common)
- Willingness to work overtime as required to complete repairs and keep clients operational
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification (e.g., degree, diploma, or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of control systems and pneumatics
- Full, clean driver’s license
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with various software applications, with a willingness/ability to self-teach various configuration package
- Proven ability to problem solve within what can be sometimes pressure situations
- Good communication skills with a personable manner and a positive attitude
- Ability to be able to work unsupervised and implement lateral thought process when required
- Willingness to travel within the 32 counties (overnight stays may be required, but not common)
Preferred skills:
- A good level of both electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with labelling, label printing, and barcode scanning technologies
