On the Pulse with Pat – March

Welcome to the first in our new series of blog posts. As the manager and owner of ALS Identify, our marketing manager, Gillian, has asked me to craft up a blog post once a month to keep all of our friends, followers, and customers up to date with what’s going on at ALS Identify.

Did you hear we’ve been shortlisted for the SFA Manufacturing Award for 2025? We’re delighted with the shortlist and we are eagerly awaiting the Awards night later this month. As part of our shortlisting, we were invited to exhibit at the SFA Business Connect event in the Kilashee Hotel in Naas last month. It was great to see the calibre of Irish businesses across so many categories.

Check out how busy out workshop is this month! Our teams have been building systems for food, beverage, packaging, and life sciences customers. It’s great to see so many projects coming in meaning that we need to keep expanding our teams. We’ve had 3 new hires already this year, welcoming Peter, Gillian, and Matt to the team and we have the hiring hat on again with three fantastic roles; Internal Sales Rep,  Field Service Engineer and Project Engineer. If you know anyone who fits the bill, please share as we’re keen to get these roles filled quickly.

For the last couple months, we’ve been working on some exciting end of line automation projects with customers in the life sciences and food sectors. We’ve also built and installed some standard labelling systems for one of our regular food customers. Gillian shared a great video of this on our LinkedIn page.

Have you heard the latest from our partners? In February, Novexx launched the XTP 604, a state-of-the-art single card printer designed exclusively for printing cards. It is a single card printer with thermal transfer printing impresses with a reliable transport system that – in contrast to roll labels – guides the cards to be printed flat through the printing process. Thanks to the choice of two different stacking systems and options, it is suitable for a wide range of card formats. Furthermore, the XTP 604 can be equipped with RFID technology, which offer additional application possibilities in the field of identification.
