FastPaQ VHS/UHS

The VHS and UHS series labellers are suitable for applications with high labelling rates or high accuracy requirements. The UHS series can dispense labels at up to 350m/min (14,000″/min). The VHS series can dispense labels at up to 200m/min (8,000″/min) with label placement accuracy of +/- 0.4mm (+/- 1/64″). The accuracy of the VHS series labellers makes them ideal for the application of even very small labels where placement accuracy is often critical.

About the Product

FastPaQ VHS/UHS

All the models in the HS range can apply labels at a rate of over 3000/min or 200,000 labels/hour dependent on label length.

The VHS (Very High Speed) labeller has a maximum dispense speed of 100m/min, 150m/min (via software upgrade) or 200m/min (via software and hardware upgrade)
The UHS (Ultra High Speed) labeller has a maximum dispense speed of 250m/min, 300m/min (via software upgrade) or 375m/min (15,000″/min) (via software upgrade)

Not only are the HS series labellers fast, they are also very accurate, with *placement* accuracy of +/- 0.4mm (+/- 1/64″). This level of placement accuracy is maintained even when the line ramps from stand-still to production speed and back again so with the HS series labellers there is no reject product through inaccurate labelling every time the production line is stopped or started.

The HS labellers consist of up to four individual modules. If used with fan-fold labels and a vacuum take-away for the waste backing material then only the dispense unit and the loop unit are required.

The loop-box unit provides a zero-tension supply of labels to the dispense unit. The two units can be joined together together to form a single compact labelling machine but where space is very limited the two units can be separated and operated as even more compact stand-alone units. When the fan-fold labels can be located very close to the dispense unit then the loop-box unit is not required.

If utilising rolls of labels then the unwind unit is required. The unwind unit can be attached to the loop-unit or it can be located remotely when space is limited.

The waste backing material can be removed using the optional rewind unit. The rewind unit is normally attached to the loop-unit but can also be located remotely when space is limited. Alternatively the waste backing material can be removed with a vacuum take-away. Narrow backing material can even be removed with a vacuum take-away unit integrated into the dispense unit itself.

All the HS series labellers have a common user interface and most of the mechanical and electrical components are common to all models meaning one model can quickly and easily be upgraded to the next model in the range should requirements demand it.

Short label applications:

The HS series is ideal for the application of small labels. An HS series labeller can be used to apply labels to memory SD cards, small phials as used in the pharmaceutical industry or small containers as used in the beauty and cosmetic markets. Typically where small labels are applied the placement accuracy becomes more important and the HS series can provide the accuracy required in these types of applications. Small RFID labels can also be applied rapidly and accurately with an HS series labeller. Some labellers have a claimed maximum dispense speed of 100m/min or even higher but the actual dispense speed they can achieve decreases with decreasing label length. The HS series provides accurate placement of even very short labels at extremely high speeds. Labels as short as 10mm (or less on request) can be applied at very high line speeds and at very high label-per-minute rates.

Card labelling:

Phone cards, credits cards and the like often have a small peel-off label which reveals a code number or some other information. The HS series labellers with their high-speeds and high accuracy are ideally suited to this market.

Carton labelling:

Labels can be applied accurately to even the highest speed carton lines using the HS series labellers. Utilising the UHS labeller with optional Asynchronous Mode software cartons have been labelled at line speeds exceeding 500m/min ! Direct mail (envelopes and letters) and forms labelling No matter how fast the line, there is an HS series labeller available to apply labels with pinpoint accuracy.

Promotional labelling:

The high application rate of the HS series labellers allows the turn-around of large volume orders in the shortest possible time. A single labeller can apply several millions of labels per day, providing unbeatable delivery times to customers.

Publication labelling:

The high dispense speeds provided by the HS series labellers means labels can be applied to even the highest speed printing presses. Labels can be applied to the outside and inside pages of newspapers and other publications at printing press speeds . The HS series’ compact size and direct apply system means it can be quickly and easily installed on lines for short or long labelling runs.
